Sponsors are needed to help raise $100,000 for Kansas City’s homeless animals this year through the Kansas City Pet Telethon. Sponsors can be individuals, organizations or businesses that simply want to be a part of the solution to help the animals. There are a variety of monetary sponsorship levels available.
We also need in-kind donations to use as donor incentive prizes during the three-hour televised event. Prize items can range in value from as little as $20 to several thousands of dollars.
Jumbo Checks for the Pets
Show your love of pets during the Kansas City Pet Telethon, on 38 the Spot TV. Present your “jumbo check” during the program to a telethon host.
Last year groups raised money through a variety of ways, including: auctions, person-to-person asking, email blasts, art sales, raffles, jeans days, and more.
Fetch Fur Pets Contest
Your school or youth organization is invited to lend a “paw” to help Kansas City’s homeless pets by participating in our metro-wide Fetch Fur Pets Contest.
Start raising money now for the homeless animals of Greater Kansas City! Be creative… hold a bake sale, raffle, auction, put on a play, Spirit week (pajama day, hat day, sport day…), etc.
The top two organizations will be our guests for a live segment on the KC Pet Telethon, and be honored by NBC Action News Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak and other local celebrity hosts.
Hurry! Sign your school or organization up today! All funds must be received to The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City! 100% of the funds raised will directly help homeless animals in Kansas City.
Not-So-Stupid Pet Tricks Contest
Got a pet who’s a brilliant and gifted performer? Here’s your chance to show off his or her skills during The Kansas City Pet Telethon! We’re looking for fun, safe and unusual tricks that can be performed live on our telethon on Sunday.
Pets must perform voluntarily and be treated humanely, and pet parents must provide any needed props. Pet tricks will be broadcast live from KSHB studios in Kansas City, MO between 6:30-9:30 pm. If your pet trick is chosen we will assign a time for you and your pet to appear.
